Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 2 tablespoons water
- Red or pink sugar sprinkles
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add the vanilla and mix until combined.
- Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix until combined. Add the almond flour and mix until combined. Add the water and mix until combined.
- Using a cookie scoop, scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, making sure to leave enough space between the cookies. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and let cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes. Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once the cookies are cool, dip the ends of the cookies in the red or pink sugar sprinkles to make them look like fingers.
