Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons five-spice powder
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, five-spice powder, garlic, oil, and pepper. Mix until combined.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable bag or container. Pour the marinade over the chicken and mix until all of the chicken is coated.
  3. Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (or up to 8 hours).
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  6. Place the chicken on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until the chicken is cooked through.
  7. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
