Ingredients
- 1-2 lbs of chicken thighs
- ¼ cup of soy sauce
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of freshly grated ginger
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1 teaspoon of Chinese five-spice powder
- 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon of chili flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Directions
- In a medium bowl, mix together the soy sauce, garlic, ginger, honey, five-spice powder, sesame oil, chili flakes, and salt and pepper. Whisk to combine.
- Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and stir to coat. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, up to overnight.
- In the meantime, heat a grill to medium-high heat. Once hot, brush the grill grates with vegetable oil.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and place on the hot grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
- Serve the grilled Asian chicken with a side of rice or noodles.
