Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons matcha green tea powder
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package mochi balls

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the sugar and matcha powder until well combined.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, salt, and vanilla extract until combined.
  3. Slowly pour the matcha sugar mixture into the cream mixture and whisk until the sugar is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer's instructions for churning.
  5. Once the ice cream has finished churning, add the mochi balls and stir to combine.
  6. Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
