Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 ounces) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Directions

  1. In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, garlic, olive oil, tahini, lemon juice, cumin, salt and pepper. Process until smooth.
  2. Scoop the hummus into a serving bowl and garnish with the chopped parsley. Serve with pita chips or fresh vegetables.
