Ingredients
2 quarts water
1/4 cup salt
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup white vinegar
1 teaspoon mustard seed

Directions

Remove the pot from the heat and allow the brine to cool to room temperature.
Meanwhile, wash and dry the cucumbers, then cut them into 1/4-inch thick slices.
Place the cucumber slices into a large glass container and pour the brine over them.
Cover the container and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
