Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 9 lasagna noodles
- 1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook beef, onion, and garlic until beef is brown. Drain off fat.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, and Parmesan cheese. Set aside.
- Spread 1/2 cup of the meat sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Arrange 3 lasagna noodles over meat sauce. Spread with 1/2 of the ricotta cheese mixture. Top with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese and 1/4 of the sour cream.
- Repeat layers, ending with mozzarella cheese and sour cream. Cover with foil.
- Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes. Uncover, and bake an additional 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
