Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 (14.5 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
- 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
Directions
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the onion and garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until it is no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the cumin, paprika, chili powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Add the tomatoes, black beans, and kidney beans and stir to combine.
- Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the chili is thickened, about 30 minutes.
- Serve with your favorite toppings.
