Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, room temperature
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Add the buttermilk and vanilla extract and beat until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients and beat until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9x13-inch baking pan.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool completely before slicing and serving.
