Ingredients

  • 2 Mackerel Fillets
  • 1/2 a Radish, peeled and cut into thin strips
  • 2 cloves of Garlic, minced
  • 2 Green Onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of Mirin
  • 1 teaspoon of Gochujang
  • 2 tablespoons of Sesame Oil
  • 1 teaspoon of Sugar
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Garnishes (Optional): Sesame Seeds, Chopped Green Onions, Roasted Seaweed, etc.

Directions

  1. In a medium-sized pot, combine the soy sauce, mirin, gochujang, sesame oil, sugar, and garlic. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat to low.
  2. Add the mackerel and radish to the pot and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the green onion and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Garnish with sesame seeds, green onions, and/or roasted seaweed, if desired.
  6. Serve hot with rice and/or other sides.
