Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • Oil, for frying

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground chicken, onion, bell pepper, carrot, parsley, garlic, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper until evenly combined.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix together the flour and bread crumbs.
  3. In a separate shallow dish, beat the eggs.
  4. Form the chicken mixture into small patties and dip them first in the flour mixture, then in the egg mixture, and finally in the bread crumbs.
  5. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the patties in the hot oil until golden brown and cooked through, about 5 minutes per side.
  6. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
