Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  3. Add the rice and stir to combine.
  4. Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce the heat to low, cover and cook for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove from the heat and let stand, covered, for 5 minutes.
  7. Fluff with a fork and season with salt and pepper, to taste.
