In a medium saucepan, combine raspberries, sugar, water, lemon juice and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture is thick and syrupy, about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Transfer mixture to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Pour into a shallow glass or plastic container and freeze for at least 2 hours, or until desired consistency is reached.
Scoop into individual dishes and serve.
