Ingredients
2 cups okra, cut into half-inch pieces
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
½ cup buttermilk
1 cup vegetable oil, for frying
Directions
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
In a separate bowl, add the buttermilk and whisk until combined.
Dip the okra pieces into the buttermilk mixture, then coat in the flour mixture. Shake off any excess flour.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the okra pieces to the skillet and fry for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
Remove the fried okra from the skillet and place on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
Serve hot and enjoy!
