Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine apricots, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and 2 tablespoons flour. Toss to coat the apricots evenly.
Spread the apricot mixture into the prepared baking dish.
In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Stir in buttermilk until a soft dough forms.
Drop dough by spoonfuls over the top of the apricot mixture. Sprinkle with sliced almonds.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
