Ingredients
- 2 (4-ounce) filet mignon steaks
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Season the steaks with salt and pepper.
- Heat the oil in a large oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for 2 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 8 minutes, or until the steaks reach desired doneness.
- Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine the strawberries, balsamic vinegar, and honey. Mix to combine.
- Remove the steaks from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving with the balsamic strawberry sauce.
