Ingredients
2 beef tenderloin steaks, 1 inch thick
1/4 cup finely ground coffee
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons sea salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
Directions
In a small bowl, combine the coffee, brown sugar, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until well blended.
Rub the mixture onto both sides of the steaks, coating them evenly.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and butter.
When the pan is hot, add the steaks and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
Remove the steaks from the pan and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
