Ingredients

  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 1/2 cup of fake sourdough starter
  • 1/4 cup of milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  3. Cut in the butter with a pastry blender or two knives until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add the fake sourdough starter and milk to the mixture and stir until a soft dough forms.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead a few times until the dough is smooth.
  6. Roll the dough out to about 1/2-inch thick.
  7. Cut the dough into 2-inch circles or squares with a biscuit cutter or knife.
  8. Arrange the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm with butter and honey.
