Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a baking sheet with cooking spray or butter.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add the mayonnaise and stir until the mixture is crumbly.
  3. Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in the buttermilk. Stir until the dough is just combined.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead a few times. Pat the dough out until it's 3/4-inch thick.
  5. Cut the dough into 12 biscuits with a biscuit cutter. Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve warm.
