This easy chicken marsala recipe is a classic Italian-American dish that is sure to impress your family and friends. The combination of tender chicken, flavorful mushrooms, and rich marsala wine sauce creates a dish that is both comforting and elegant.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup Marsala wine
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Directions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour, shaking off any excess.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the mushrooms and cook until they release their juices and start to brown, about 5 minutes.
  4. Deglaze the skillet with Marsala wine and chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  5. Add the chicken back to the skillet and simmer until the sauce has thickened and the chicken is cooked through, about 10-15 minutes.
  6. Stir in the butter until melted and sauce is glossy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve the chicken marsala hot, garnished with fresh parsley. Enjoy!
