Ingredients
- 1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in milk and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened.
- Add cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, and thyme and stir until cheese is melted.
- Remove from heat and add in broccoli. Stir to combine.
- Spread mixture into a greased 9x13 baking dish.
- Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
- Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
