Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 6 Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 package (17.3 ounces) puff pastry sheets, thawed
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a large baking sheet.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Add the apples and lemon juice and mix until the apples are coated.
- Unroll one sheet of puff pastry onto the prepared baking sheet. Arrange the apple mixture in a line down the center of the pastry sheet.
- Fold the edges of the pastry sheet over the apples, then brush the pastry with the remaining butter mixture. Sprinkle with the walnuts.
- Repeat with the remaining pastry sheet, butter mixture, and walnuts.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
