Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Separate the eggs, placing the whites in a medium bowl and the yolks in a separate bowl.
  2. Add the sugar to the yolks and whisk until light and fluffy.
  3. Stir in the nutmeg and cinnamon.
  4. Slowly add the milk, whisking constantly until well blended.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  6. Fold the egg whites into the egg yolk mixture.
  7. Add the heavy cream and vanilla extract, stirring until well blended.
  8. Chill the eggnog for at least two hours before serving.
