Ingredients
- 3 cups sushi rice
- 4 cups water
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 10 nori sheets

- Soy sauce and wasabi for serving

- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a medium-sized pot, combine the rinsed sushi rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover. Cook for 15 minutes or until all the water is absorbed.
- While the rice is cooking, mix the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a large mixing bowl. Gradually pour the vinegar mixture over the rice while gently folding it in with a wooden spoon or rice paddle. Allow the rice to cool to room temperature.
- Prepare the vegetables by cutting them into thin strips. Set aside.
- Place a bamboo sushi mat on a clean work surface. Lay a sheet of nori on top of the mat, shiny side down.
