Ingredients
- 2 potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 1/2 cup frozen peas, thawed
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
- Salt to taste
- 12 store-bought samosa wrappers
- 2 tablespoons melted butter or oil
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, peas, onion, green chili, ginger-garlic paste, cumin seeds, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, red chili powder, cilantro, and salt. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
- Take a samosa wrapper and place it on a clean surface. Fold it in half to form a triangle, overlapping the edges. Seal the edges with a little water to ensure the samosa does not open during baking.
- Place a tablespoon of the potato filling in the center of the folded samosa wrapper. Fold the bottom corner of the triangle upwards, covering the filling. Continue folding in a triangular shape until you reach the end of the wrapper. Seal the edges with water.
- Repeat the process with the remaining samosa wrappers and filling.
- Place the samosas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush each samosa with melted butter or oil to ensure they turn golden brown while baking.
- Bake the samosas in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the baked samosas hot with your favorite chutney or dipping sauce.
- Enjoy these delicious and healthier baked samosas!
