These bite-sized treats are made with a flaky pastry crust and filled with a rich mixture of pecans, sweet syrup, and a hint of vanilla. Perfect for parties, special occasions, or simply as a delightful dessert, these tiny pecan tarts are guaranteed to be a hit!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pecans, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and cubed butter. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Add cold water to the mixture gradually, mixing until the dough comes together. Shape the dough into a disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  4. On a floured surface, roll out the chilled dough to a thickness of about 1/8 inch. Use a round cookie cutter or a glass to cut out circles that will fit into mini muffin tins.
  5. Gently press each circle of dough into the mini muffin tins, forming a small tart shell.
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, chopped pecans, and salt until well combined.
  7. Spoon the pecan mixture evenly into each tart shell, filling them about three-fourths full.
  8. Bake the tarts in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set.
  9. Remove the tarts from the oven and let them cool in the muffin tins for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Serve the tiny pecan tarts as a delightful dessert or share them at parties and special occasions.
