Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, finely chopped
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Directions

  1. Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let simmer for 9 minutes.
  2. Remove the eggs from the saucepan and immediately transfer them to a bowl filled with ice water. Let them cool for 5 minutes.
  3. Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Carefully remove the yolks and place them in a separate bowl.
  4. Cook the bacon slices in a skillet over medium-high heat until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease. Once cooled, crumble the bacon into small pieces.
  5. Mash the egg yolks with a fork until smooth. Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, chopped basil, and salt and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  6. Fill each egg white half with the yolk mixture using a spoon or a piping bag.
  7. Garnish each deviled egg with a sprinkle of crumbled bacon and a fresh basil leaf.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
