Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (such as walnuts or pecans)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine oats, flour, melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and baking soda. Mix until crumbly.
  3. Press half of the oat mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.

  5. In a small saucepan, heat chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk over low heat until smooth and melted.
  6. Pour the chocolate mixture over the nuts in the baking pan.
  7. Crumble the remaining oat mixture over the top of the chocolate layer.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into bars and serving.
