Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked chicken, finely chopped
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
- Dash of salt and pepper
- 24 wonton wrappers
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Directions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cream cheese, green onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about a teaspoon of the chicken mixture onto the center of the wrapper.
- Using your finger or a pastry brush, lightly wet the edges of the wrapper with water. Fold the wrapper diagonally to form a triangle, pressing the edges firmly to seal.
- Continue this process with the remaining wonton wrappers and chicken mixture.
- In a deep pan or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Carefully place the wontons into the hot oil, frying them in batches for about 2-3 minutes or until they turn golden brown and crispy. Flip them occasionally for even frying.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken rangoons from the oil using a slotted spoon and drain them on a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.
- Serve the chicken rangoons warm with sweet and sour sauce, soy sauce, or any dipping sauce of your choice.
