Ingredients

  • 1 box jumbo pasta shells
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups marinara sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to the package instructions, then drain and rinse with cold water. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, minced garlic, beaten egg, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
  4. Spread about 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of the baking dish.
  5. Take one cooked pasta shell at a time and spoon about 2 tablespoons of the cheese mixture into each shell. Place the filled shell in the prepared baking dish. Repeat with the remaining shells.
  6. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the stuffed shells, covering them evenly.
  7. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and sprinkle additional shredded mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese over the shells. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the stuffed shells cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
