Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- Vegetable oil for frying
Directions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add cabbage, carrots, green onions, and garlic to the skillet with the beef. Cook for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender.
- Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Place an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface with one corner pointing towards you. Spoon about 1/4 cup of the beef mixture onto the center of the wrapper.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold the sides towards the center. Roll the wrapper tightly to the top corner, sealing the edge with water.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F. Fry the egg rolls in batches for 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the egg rolls with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
