These poke-style wings combine the flavors of a traditional Hawaiian poke dish with the irresistible crunchiness of chicken wings. The wings are marinated in a tangy and savory sauce, then grilled to perfection. The result is a deliciously spicy and flavorful appetizer that will leave you craving for more. This recipe is perfect for game day parties or anytime you want to impress your guests with a unique twist on classic chicken wings.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, ginger, garlic, and Sriracha sauce to make the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them in the marinade until well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the wings from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
  4. Place the wings on the grill and cook for 10-12 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice char on the outside.
  5. Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a serving platter and sprinkle them with green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve hot and enjoy!
