These Easy Crab Cakes are a crowd-pleasing appetizer or a perfect main course for seafood lovers. Made with fresh crab meat, breadcrumbs, and flavorful seasonings, these crab cakes are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Serve them with a tangy homemade tartar sauce for a truly satisfying meal. Whether you're hosting a party or craving some good seafood, this recipe is quick and simple to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh crab meat
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, green onions, parsley, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Gently mix the ingredients until well combined. Be careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
  3. Form the mixture into 8 equal-sized patties, about 1/2 inch thick. Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  4. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the crab cakes and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove the crab cakes from the skillet and drain on a paper towel-lined plate to remove any excess oil.
  6. Serve the crab cakes hot with tartar sauce on the side.
  7. Enjoy!
