This Stuffed Hasselback Turkey Breast recipe is a delightful twist on the traditional roasted turkey. The turkey breast is sliced and stuffed with a delicious mixture of breadcrumbs, herbs, and spices, resulting in a juicy and flavorful main dish. Hasselback technique ensures the turkey cooks evenly while the stuffing adds an extra burst of flavor. Perfect for Thanksgiving or any special occasion, this recipe will impress your guests and leave them wanting more.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole turkey breast, bone-in (about 5 pounds)
  • 2 cups fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. Using a sharp knife, carefully make a series of slits about 1/2 inch apart along the top of the turkey breast, being careful not to cut all the way through. Repeat on the other side.
  4. Stuff each slit with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down gently to ensure it fills the entire cavity.
  5. Place the stuffed turkey breast in a roasting pan. Brush it with melted butter, making sure to coat all sides. Pour the chicken broth into the bottom of the pan.
  6. Cover the roasting pan with foil and roast in the preheated oven for 90 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the turkey reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Remove the foil and continue roasting for an additional 15 minutes to brown the top.
  8. Once done, remove the turkey breast from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with your favorite side dishes.
