  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 4 burger buns, toasted
  • Lettuce leaves, for serving
  • Tomato slices, for serving
  • For the Lime Cucumbers:
  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt, to taste
  • For the Chutney:
  • 1/2 cup mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup cilantro leaves
  • 1 green chili, seeded
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Salt, to taste

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground turkey, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric, paprika, salt, black pepper, chopped cilantro, minced garlic, chopped onion, and breadcrumbs. Mix well to combine.
  2. Shape the mixture into 4 burger patties.
  3. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Brush the patties with oil and grill for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, make the lime cucumbers. In a bowl, combine the cucumber slices, lime juice, sugar, and salt. Toss to coat the cucumbers in the lime dressing. Set aside.
  5. To make the chutney, place the mint leaves, cilantro leaves, seeded green chili, lime juice, honey, and salt in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.
  6. Spread the chutney on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Top with a grilled turkey patty, lettuce leaves, tomato slices, and a generous portion of lime cucumbers. Place the top half of the bun on the burger.
  7. Serve the Indian turkey burgers with lime cucumbers and chutney alongside some fries or a side salad for a complete and satisfying meal.
