Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 8 slices of ham
  • 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/4 cup of melted butter

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  3. Place 4 slices of bread in the bottom of the baking dish, overlapping slightly.
  4. Layer the ham slices on top of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the ham.
  6. Cover the cheese with the remaining 4 slices of bread.
  7. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, mustard, salt, and black pepper.
  8. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and ham layers, ensuring everything is evenly coated.
