Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup fresh plums, pitted and sliced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1-2 tbsp milk
Directions
- In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter until warm, but not boiling.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add the warm milk mixture and egg, mix well.
- Gradually stir in the remaining flour until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar. Arrange plum slices on top.
- Roll up the dough tightly and slice into rolls. Place them in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and milk to make a glaze. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
