Ingredients
- 2 live lobsters, about 1 1/2 to 2 pounds each
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil, for frying
Directions
- Fill a large pot with enough water to cover the lobsters. Bring the water to a boil over high heat.
- Carefully add the lobsters to the boiling water and cover the pot. Cook the lobsters for 8 minutes.
- Remove the lobsters from the pot and allow them to cool. Once cooled, break the body of the lobster from the tail.
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until well combined.
- In a third bowl, pour the panko bread crumbs.
- Dip each lobster piece in the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, then the panko crumbs. Make sure to coat each piece well.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Carefully add the lobster pieces to the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3 minutes per side.
- Remove the lobster from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Serve the lobster with your favorite dipping sauce.
