Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
- 1/2 cup mini colored marshmallows
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup colored candy melts
- 1/2 cup mini toy figures
- Frosting of your choice
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour two round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in the vanilla.
- Alternately add the flour mixture and buttermilk, beginning and ending with the flour.
- Gently fold in the sprinkles, marshmallows, chocolate chips, and candy melts.
- Divide the batter between the two prepared pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Cool completely before frosting.
- Top the cake with mini toy figures, and serve.
