Ingredients
1 bunch of asparagus
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup of beer
Oil for frying
Directions
Clean and trim the asparagus.
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
Slowly add the beer and stir until the batter is smooth.
Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350 degrees F.
Dip the asparagus into the batter and carefully lower into the hot oil. Fry for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
