Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup almond meal

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine almond butter and maple syrup. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll the almond butter mixture into small truffle balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and chill for 10-15 minutes, or until the truffle balls are firm.
  4. While the truffle balls are chilling, melt the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth.

  6. In a shallow dish, mix together the almond meal and cacao powder. Roll each coated truffle in the almond meal mixture to coat the exterior. Return the truffles to the baking sheet.
