Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken, cut into 8 pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup honey
Directions
- In a large bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, oregano, thyme, black pepper, and salt.
- Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and toss to coat with the marinade.
- Cover the bowl and place in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight.
- When ready to cook, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Place the flour in a shallow dish or bowl.
- Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour, shaking off any excess.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan. When the oil is hot, add the chicken pieces and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and place in the oven for 10 minutes.
- In a small saucepan, heat the honey over medium heat until just bubbling. Pour the honey over the chicken and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the honey is bubbly.
- Serve the chicken with roasted potatoes and a fresh green salad.
