Ingredients

  • 2 lbs fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a baking dish.
  2. Steam asparagus until tender-crisp, about 5 minutes. Drain and place in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together cream of mushroom soup, cheddar cheese, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Pour over asparagus.
  4. In a small bowl, combine breadcrumbs and melted butter. Sprinkle over the asparagus mixture.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown on top.
