Ingredients

  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 3/4 cup of butter, melted
  • 1 cup of packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 3 cups of oats
  • 1 cup of chopped walnuts
  • 1 1/2 cups of dried cranberries or raisins

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
  4. Mix in the oats, walnuts, and cranberries or raisins.
  5. Drop dough onto cookie sheets by rounded spoonfuls. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are lightly browned.
  6. Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
