Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the vanilla, eggs, and beat until light and creamy.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Stir in the chocolate chips. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
