Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and cook until golden brown, about 4 minutes per side.
  3. Transfer the pork chops to a baking dish and cover with foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, combine the rice, chicken broth, oregano, basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Stir in the sour cream. Serve the pork chops with the rice.
