Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons cold butter, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, pumpkin spice, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. Add butter cubes and mix with a pastry blender or your hands until mixture looks crumbly.
  4. In a small bowl, combine pumpkin puree and heavy cream. Mix until well combined.
  5. Add pumpkin mixture to flour mixture and mix until just combined. Do not over mix.
  6. Transfer dough to a lightly floured work surface and knead a few times until it comes together. Pat into a circle about 1/2 inch thick.
  7. Cut into 8 wedges and place on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until scones are golden brown.
  8. Transfer to a wire rack and let cool before serving.
