Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cocoa powder. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, stir together the butter, buttermilk, sugar, vanilla and egg until combined. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the mini chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
