Ingredients

  • 500g boneless chicken, cut into cubes
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoons of garam masala
  • 2 teaspoons of red chilli powder
  • 2 teaspoons of cumin powder
  • 2 teaspoons of coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 cup of canned tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/4 cup of fresh coriander, chopped
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic, onion, and ginger-garlic paste, and fry for 3 minutes.
  2. Add the chicken cubes and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the garam masala, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and sugar, and fry for another 2 minutes.
  4. Add the canned tomatoes and fry for another 3 minutes.
  5. Add the water and bring to a boil. Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.
