This Cheesy Tater Tot Casserole is a comforting and satisfying dish that the whole family will love. Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package (32 ounces) frozen tater tots

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Season the beef mixture with salt and black pepper. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and milk, mixing well.
  4. Spread half of the tater tots in an even layer in the prepared baking dish. Spoon the beef mixture evenly over the tater tots. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the beef.
  5. Layer the remaining tater tots on top of the cheese. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese over the tater tots.
  6. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the tater tots are crispy.
